The creator of Cream of Cathay, Jason Winters was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his neck that was not responding to treatment in 1977. Winters supposedly searched the globe for another cure and achieved full remission. So he created multiple skin care products from likewise ingredients that supposedly not only improve your skin, but also your general health. However, he never really discloses the ingredients that supposedly sent his cancer into full remission. The Cream of Cathay is his only skin cream. But his site claims this one cream can produce youthful and vibrant skin.

According to one third party retailer, ingredients include Water Extracts of Jason Winters Herbal Tea, Pau D’Arco, Witch Hazel/Aloe Vera, Acetylated Lanolin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Sorbitol, Stearic Acid, Glyceril Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate/Peg-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Ethyl DiHydroxpropyl-PABA, Rose Water, Carbomer/Tea, Sodium Edetate, Methyl and Propyl Paraben, Diazolidinyl Urea.

But the website itself does not actually disclose said ingredients. So we are unsure of the validity. If this is however the right formula, it has some antioxidants that may “wake up” the skin and fight free radicals, preventing some future damage. It also has witch hazel which works as an astringent and aloe vera which can calm the skin. And of course, it has quite a few moisturizers. But it has quite a few different moisturizers. And yet it has no active wrinkle fighting ingredients.

Overall Impression of Cream of Cathay:

Cream of Cathay is appropriately priced, and there are always further deals through third party retailers. It has no active wrinkle fighting ingredients, but a lot of moisturizers and a few select antioxidants. We still wouldn’t recommend buying it if you expect to reduce wrinkles. And if you have particularly oily skin, it might clog pores and cause acne. But for especially dry skin, it may be an appropriate moisturizer.
