A company known for environmental responsibility, Aveda has recently introduced an anti aging line referred to as the “Green Science Collection.” All ingredients are completely botanical, and they claim these will reduce lines and wrinkles, simultaneously slowing the process of aging. The most effective anti aging elements studied come from the human body, and they have been studied and developed by various labs. But that aside, there are botanical ingredients that can positively affect the skin and moisturize or remove free radicals that may be causing damage.
Price: $85.00
Ingredients include argan oil, vitamin E, polyunsaturated fatty acids, glucosamine, buckwheat wax, peptides, and linoleic acid.
Peptides are actually produced in the human body and are essential to a good anti aging product. We did not expect them from a purely botanical product. But they don’t specify which peptides, nor do they provide a full ingredients list that would tell you the basic concentrations of said peptides. The other ingredients include one antioxidant and quite a few moisturizers. However, with buckwheat wax, we found no applicable association at all.
Aveda is often known as an environmentally responsible company, which would make some of us inclined to buy their products regardless. But if you do, don’t count on viable anti wrinkle results. Given the formula, they are extremely unlikely. You will be encouraging environmentally responsible practices. But then again, there are companies that don’t necessarily publicize it as much. But they use environmentally responsible practices while simultaneously providing a truly effective formula.
