Anti Wrinkle 55

product image

Calling itself the “best skin tightening breakthrough that restores the beauty of youth”, Anti Wrinkle 55 bases most of its advertising on the fact that it has been featured in a number of major magazines such as Allure and Vogue. They push their product as an alternative to plastic surgeries, and of course claim to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It also gets a boost for some individuals with the fact that it uses 24k gold in the mix, which works as a powerful antioxidant.

Product Details:

Anti Wrinkle 55 uses a blend of hyaluronic acid, 24k gold, emu oil, allantoin, matrixyl, aloe butter, vitamin E, and squalene.

In the initial ingredients list, they actually name matrixyl twice. This could be because it is really such an amazing peptide, or it could be because they somehow forgot. Either way, matrixyl is one major peptide that really increases the production of collagen and elastin. Vitamin E and gold work as antioxidants, and the rest are really just moisturizers. However, they do not provide a full ingredients list, which would include all the fillers, preservatives, etc, and it would give us a basic idea of what concentrations they may use of these supposedly major ingredients.

Overall Impression of Anti Wrinkle 55:

Anti Wrinkle 55 most likely uses a small concentration of Matrixyl, we expect about 1-2%, which isn’t nearly enough to help your skin regenerate itself. They fail to provide a full ingredients list, and most of their ingredients don’t directly apply to wrinkle fighting. Like many acne treatments, they rely largely on celebrity and magazine type hype, which they most likely had to pay quite a bit for, and therefore you have to pay quite a bit for. What we find with most of these products is that they do that for a reason, because their formula really has no other redeeming qualities.
