Supposedly a high class anti aging line of products, Actifirm operates on the assumption that they use the best natural ingredients to prevent and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Actifirm uses a cleanser, a peel, a mask, and an eye cream, of course to be used in combination, to accomplish these goals, and sells mostly through medical spas to increase their marketing capabilities as a serious supplement.

Actifirm gets its name from the main component of Actizyme, otherwise known as the mucor miehei mushroom. However, it also includes ingredients such as gotu kola, coneflower, rosemary, sodium hyaluronate, aloe vera, algae, green tea, chamomile, propylene glycol, tocopheryl acetate, lavender, and roman chamomile.
These are mostly the active ingredients. They have quite a list of fillers and preservatives outside this. And on this list are a few antioxidants, which to their credit can reduce sun damage and free radical damage. They also have quite a few calming agents that will act as anti-inflammatories. But propylene can easily irritate the skin, and they lack ingredients like DMAE and peptides that would actively reduce wrinkles and facial sag.
Actifirm is one step above quite a few competitors, which is a sad commentary on the state of this market. They use some antioxidants and calming ingredients rather than just moisturizers. But they lack some of the essential ingredients that would actually rebuild the skin, reduce current wrinkles, and prevent future wrinkles to a certain degree. Unfortunately for them, going half way is not enough. This is a formula that has real potential. But we would like to see significant improvements in the future.
